about

The Zürich based musician Timothy Jaromir and the Swiss-Canadian artist Rykka enchant audiences with dreamy Americana-folk pearls. On Friday, October 4, 2019, the duo will release their debut "Salt of the Sea". They crafted the new record on a detour to Toronto, Canada, where they sought out renowned producer David Gavan Baxter, and later emerged from the studio with 8 song-gems, which were all written in the secluded Canadian wilderness the year before.

On "Salt of the Sea", the listener is granted access to a handmade, unadulterated world where the two character voices stand out to create something of a new entity. The opener and current single release "North 49" expresses the yearning for vast wilderness and an adventure-filled life, while, ”Darkest Times" revels in an unconditional love where pain may be just as prevalent as pleasure. The album is full of wilderness, personal stories and a lot of passion and feeling.

Although Timothy Jaromir and Rykka have been on the music scene for years, the project Goldschatz waited in the wings until 2019. In 2016 they made their first appearance together when they released a duet (under the name Timothy Jaromir feat. Rykka) called, "Don’t You Honey Me", and were represented in the German Airplay Charts. The live show is honest and expressive, supported by years of craft and talent, and like the record, creates a magical atmosphere. Keep an eye on Goldschatz.
